Lukie Chicken is a broiler farming operation run by Richard Khoza. Richard had been running the business informally for some years but had always struggled with production capacity constraints.

Limited to 100 chickens per cycle, Richard has worked hard to improve this by applying himself throughout the program. With aid of the investment, he has built a new chicken house. Increasing his production capacity from 100 to 200 chickens.

Richard also used the funds to upgrade his current chicken house and buy feed and equipment such as feeders and water trays for the birds.

These changes are set to double his average monthly turnover

Richard is still busy constructing his new chicken house, but construction will be complete soon and after that it is 5 – 6 weeks for the first batch to be ready for sale.
