Although she had already started her business prior to the workshop, Mukelisiwe used the skills and tools learned during the workshop to improve and grow her business, Omusa Creations.
She originally started as a producer of invitation cards for special events. But Mukelisiwe soon realised that the real business opportunity was in baking for these events. Birthdays, weddings, baby showers, traditional ceremonies, she does them all, and she has made a name for herself with her dedication to quality and artistic appeal.
Despite working part-time at the local hospital, Mukelisiwe drives her business forward with an energy that only comes from a true passion for what she does.
Alongside this she holds on to a crucial lesson she learned during the workshop; that you are your business and you must represent it 24/7. This approach has helped her to build her customer base well outside of her local community. And it typifies her determination and commitment to being an entrepreneur.
