For the community, by the community
Roger Ramage attended a 5-day business acceleration workshop in September 2018 in Port Elizabeth, the Eastern Cape province. Ever the entrepreneur Roger identified a need for a handyman service in the community which then became the business idea that he and his team worked on during the workshop.

Even though this business idea did not take off, Roger was determined to start his own business.
Following his passion for events management and décor, he and his now business partner decided to start their own events company. He used the marketing and pitching skills he learned at the workshop to attract and win clients.
He has marketed his business at local wedding expos and has organised weddings for clients in areas such as Port Elizabeth and George. His vision for the business is to serve clients in different provinces of the country and is in the process of purchasing a property which he will use to host client events.
Roger and his business partner are also involved with community work and manage an NPO. The mayor of George has enlisted their assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic by putting together food parcels for 500 families in need.
This initiative is a powerful reflection of Roger, his business partner and their business. They are deeply embedded in the local community and through supporting the community, are supported in return. Their relationships are what have given their business success, and it is these relationships that Roger knows will lift up the business once again after the lockdown.
