Hlayisani Nature Buy Back Centre Primary Limited Co. situated in Uthar Village, Acornhoek functions as a respected establishment focusing on the collection of recyclable materials. The enterprise was established by the dynamic and inspiring Motive Shatheller Mashaba, a young woman unafraid to engage in hands-on work to enhance her environment.
Before joining the Accelerator programme, Motive encountered numerous obstacles and couldn’t envision a way past them. “I was only able to focus on the hurdles and limitations,” she expressed, “but with the guidance and mentorship provided by the programme, I’ve come to realize that the potential of my business is boundless.”
Motive found it difficult to single out a particular skill as the most impactful, as she considered each aspect of the programme to be equally vital and advantageous.
She has managed to employ 7 permanent staff members and 33 volunteers. “Without the programme, I wouldn’t have reached this point,” she stated.
Motive utilized her investment grant to purchase materials for ongoing site office renovations that had started before the programme.
