Kharis Agric Farm, under the ownership of Nomvuso Mkhari, specializes in poultry farming, primarily focusing on the breeding and sale of day-old chicks to the local community. Although the farm also ventures into crop cultivation, these activities are currently on hold due to persistent water shortages.
The business faced a significant cost burden, with a large share of its income directed towards operational costs. Since joining the Accelerator Programme, Nomvuso has gained extensive insights into marketing and financial management.
This knowledge has enabled her to handle the business finances more effectively, ensuring they no longer impact her finances personally. “The programme has impacted on my life a lot, both in my business and my personal life,” she shared.
Nomvuso invested the funds from the programme into constructing chicken coops and replenishing her stock.
Nomvuso remains devoted to her business’s growth by diligently monitoring finances and advertising daily. “I am extremely grateful to Socionext for their support,” she expressed.
