Miri’s Transportation is a modest enterprise located in Dwarsloop within the Bushbuckridge Municipality. Since 2016, it has been under the ownership of Miranda Granny Shai, offering both student shuttle services and fashion apparel sales.
Initially, Miranda encountered numerous obstacles in both ventures due to her inadequate financial management skills, which kept the businesses from progressing. However, everything transformed for Miranda after participating in the Accelerator program. “Since connecting with my Mentor, I’ve gained knowledge on managing my income, profits, and savings,” she expressed.
Miranda also acquired vital marketing skills, which led her to promote her venture on social media, significantly boosting her clothing retail business. The benefits of the program reached beyond her professional life, enabling her to make more informed financial choices for her family.
“I wish many people would find help through Socionext.”
During the Accelerator Program, inspired by her renewed passion for business, Miranda launched her line of branded perfumes, which is rapidly becoming a favorite among locals. With the grant she received, Miranda officially registered her business and brand name. Before participating in the program, her business generated a turnover of R10,500 monthly, which has now increased to R30,800. “Everywhere I go, I am preaching the word of Socionext.”
“Hope Socionext can continue helping others, never stop.”
“There are many youths out there that are struggling, and through the Socionext Programmes, they can start a business and build themselves up; it will help all communities.”
